Beau has separation anxiety and after a dog attack, he’s wary and reactive to big dogs. So, in his four years, he's never been left with anyone outside the family. Finding someone to watch him while I went to a non-dog friendly event was stressful, I didn't want to make his anxiety worse, and I needed to know the person understood his issues.
When we first met Mia, Beau hid behind our legs, like he sensed something was going on, and Mia patiently gave him space to be himself. When they went on their first walk together, Beau was a little unsure and I was a nervous wreck for the whole hour. But he had fun, and by the time they had their first house sit together, he wasn’t upset at all and gave her an enthusiastic welcome.
He was also shy with Meredith at first, but after a few walks and house sits; he’s not shy at all. He loves her and is not afraid to show it; he showers her with hugs and kisses.
This is a pet service I didn’t know I needed until now. We usually walk our dog, but on busy days, when a quick walk would be all we can manage, Mia or Meredith take him for a good hours walk, and he loves it. I don't feel guilty leaving him now because I know he's in good hands and gets another walk thrown in. I would recommend this business to any dog owners who need occasional or regular help. Thank you Pups and Ponies Pet Services for all your hard work.
